 Write the contemporary challenges faced by Indian democracy?

Ans :- i. Illiteracy :- There are a large number of people are illiterate in I India. This widespread illiteracy is a serious threat to democracy.

           Ii. Economic inequality:- Widespread economic inequalities are found in India. 37% of the people are living below the poverty line(BPL) .The rich are getting richer and the poor are getting poorer.

           iii. Social Inequality :- Through the Indian Constitution has made many provision to establish social equalities in India, yet even now, discrimination on the basis of caste , colour,race etc is seen in common place.

           iv. Communalism :- communalism is spreading being a divisive feature, it pose a serious threat to democracy.
